Meet Jess
Jess Zorge is the founder of Raptor Tales Rescue. She is a Shrewsbury, MA native and a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. Jess holds both state and federal permits that allow her to care for wildlife. She specializes in the rehabilitation of birds of prey (hawks, owls, kestrels, merlins, falcons, vultures and eagles). She accepts injured and orphaned birds of prey from members of the public, Law Enforcement Agencies including Police and Fire Departments, Animal Control, Environmental Police, DCR, MassAudubon, and MassWildlife. Wildlife Clinics and Centers also transfer patients to Raptor Tales Rescue for long-term care. Jess is a licensed raptor educator and volunteers her time speaking about raptors and wildlife rehabilitation to local schools, churches and hospitals. Pictured is Blue, a non-releasable barred owl that serves as an educational ambassador. When Jess is not volunteering to rehabilitate wildlife, she works full time as an Animal Behaviorist while raising her daughter Harper, who is a wildlife lover and young rehabilitator in the making.
